The path to self-actualization
At the most basic level, self-actualization is about reaching your ultimate potential and realizing your dreams by creating the life you want in the real world.
So how do you do it?
Well if you’ve already mastered your own mind & emotions, then you’ve already done the hardest part.
But if you’re hoping this is where I tell you that you can sit on your couch & wait for the universe to drop riches in your lap, then I’m sorry to say you’ve come to the wrong place.
It’s a damned magical world we live in, but there is no magic substitute for doing the work.
However, when you’re able to do the work with clear eyes, a full heart, & a deep understanding of the invisible forces pushing & pulling at you, the breakthroughs you experience will feel quite magical indeed.
For anything you want to pursue in life – whether related to your career, business, relationships, or anything else – there are three simple steps to set you on the right path.
But as you embark on these steps, there is something important you must understand about human nature if you want them to work for you.
Let us start with the steps then return to this oft overlooked matter of importance…
The three steps are quite simple, but time and again people struggle to put them into practice. But those who can truly master them will find there are few things they cannot achieve.
1. Get clear on your path
No matter where you are seeking to go, if you’re not crystal clear on what path you’re taking, then you might as well just be wandering through the woods.
This doesn’t mean you can’t make adjustments as you go , but you should have a pretty good idea of where you’re going if you want a chance at getting there.
What if you don’t know where you want to go?
Then it’s crucial that you work to understand yourself & understand your options so you can gain clarity on the best path for you. Not for your parents, your friends, or society. But for you.
And remember: if you ever find yourself on a path that's no longer bringing you where you want to go, you have the power to change it.
2. Develop a strategy to navigate the path
You’re going to have a hard time getting from point A to point B without a clear plan of action to get you there. That’s why it’s crucial you develop a clear & actionable strategy to take you from where you are to where you want to go. We tend to take this for granted when it comes to business, but too often we neglect this fact in other areas of our own lives.
Whether you want to change careers, improve your relationship, get in better shape, overcome burnout, or just be happier day-to-day, it’s vital that you have a strategy to guide you in doing so.
Too many people have none at all & then wonder why things didn’t work out.
It’s like putting up a sail in a sailboat, doing nothing, and wondering why you were blown way off course.
It's not the wind's fault!
3. Put on your shoes and start walking the path
This should be the easiest part. And yet it usually tends to be the hardest. Why do we struggle with doing what we know we should?
Often, it’s due to unconscious mental & emotional blocks. These can be insidious because we often don’t even know that they are there. And the worst one of them all? Fear.
So we must always be willing to lean into those difficult thoughts & emotions, such as fear, so that we can see them as they are, work through them, and clear our path.
But even then, sometimes that is not enough. Which brings us back to that crucial insight about human nature…
We're all only human. And as humans, we are all influenced by common unconscious motivations.
So if you don’t learn to understand and move in alignment with them, you're going to be in for a rough time, no matter what path you're on.
But you can learn to use them to your advantage by reading on right here...
